10am – 4pm

In this day long workshop you will make a small bowl out of copper with a soldered foot attached and you will forge a spoon out of thick copper sheet.
We will be embossing the copper sheet on both sides with paper or fabric. We will then form the bowl shape using a sand bag and bossing mallet, we will solder a foot onto the bottom of the bowl to stabilise and finish it. We can then upset the edge of the bowl with a forging hammer to make the edge thicker and refine with files and sandpaper, depending on the look you are going for.
We will then forge the spoon bowl and handle out of thick copper sheet and file and shape until we have a functional spoon. At the end of the day you should have a well resolved beautiful bowl and spoon set suitable for whatever you would like to use it for.
