Jewellery taster
Feel like getting creative on a Saturday afternoon? Come and learn some new skills and bring a group of friends or make some new ones. This is a fun introduction to jewellery making at our cosy Grey Lynn studio.
Saturday Workshop
Come and join us for a full Saturday workshop. The classic ring making class is a great introduction to basic metalworking techniques including sawing, shaping, soldering and finishing. You will make a copper ring from sheet metal and a more customised silver ring with your new skills.
Monday Morning Class
Beginners will make simple ring bands to start and then move onto a bezel setting. If you have made some jewellery before you can come along to learn new techniques or make your own designs guided by our experienced tutors.

Join us for a new afternoon class open to all levels of jewellery makers. Beginners will make simple ring bands to start and then move onto a bezel setting. If you have made some jewellery before you can come along to learn new techniques or make your own designs guided by our experienced tutor.

Thursday Morning class
This class is open to all levels. New students start by making a copper band to familiarise yourself with the tools and learn how to saw, file, shape, solder and polish/texture metal. This is followed by constructing a customised silver band, then we will build on your skills by constructing a bezel setting for a regular cabochon stone. More … Read more
Thursday evening intro to jewellery class
This 8 week evening class is open to all levels of experience. For beginners we will introduce you to basic metal working skills through ring making and wax carving for the lost wax casting process for those interested. Returning students are welcome to work on their own projects.
